NE555 Ultrasonic Sound Source

Using two NE555 timer IC devices, this circuit generates either pulsed or continuous ultrasonic signals. The values of CT for both pulse rate and ultrasonic frequencies can be calculated this way. SPKR is a small hi-fi tweeter.

LED Sound level display circuit by using IC LM3915
This circuit is about audio sound level LED display, indicator, monitor or you can say it “Audio VU (Volume Unite) Meter”.
This is a simple audio sound level LED display circuit diagram. The circuit is completely based on a single ic LM3915 from National Semiconductor. The LM3915 is a monolithic integrated circuit. It displays the audio sound level in terms of 10 LEDs and providing a logarithmic 3 dB/step analog display.

The audio sound level LED display circuit can operate from a single supply 3V to 25V. But I suggest to use 9-12V. LED brightness can be controlled with a single pot( variable resistor) as shown 10K ohm in the circuit. Connect the audio input signal in Pin-5 of LM3915 from output of a audio device like output of audio amplifier or any other source.
The Pin-9 of LM3915 is to select dot or bar mode display. To make the circuit moving dot display instead of a bar graph display disconnect the Pin-9 from +V. Monday, October 7, 2013
Logic Probe With Sound
This logic probe can be selected to operate on TTL or CMOS logic levels, depending on switch S1. A string of resistors associated with switch S1 sets the threshold levels for a window comparator comprising IC1a and IC1b. Depending on whether the level applied to the probe is high or low, the window comparator turns on LED1 (high) or LED2 (low). The 1.2M and 680k resistors set the probe signal to a midrange value when the probe is open-circuit, thereby preventing either LED from being lit.
If a pulse signal is present, the output of IC1a will toggle the clock input of flipflop IC2a. This drives LED3 which either lights for each pulse or continuously, depending on the setting of switch S2. Finally, the outputs of IC1a & IC1b are connected by diodes D5 & D6 to the base of transistor Q1 which is connected to the Reset input of flipflop IC2b. This has a piezo sounder (not buzzer) connected between its Q and Q-bar outputs so that it produces a sound which echoes the input pulse signal.

Sound Operated Switch
This sensitive sound operated switch can be used with a dynamic microphone insert as above, or be used with an electret (ECM) microphone. If an ECM is used then R1 (shown dotted) will need to be included. A suitable value would be between 2.2k and 10kohms.
Sound Operated Switch Circuit diagram
The two BC109C transitors form an audio preamp, the gain of which is controlled by the 10k preset. The output is further amplified by a BC182B transistor. To prevent instability the preamp is decoupled with a 100u capacitor and 1k resistor. The audio voltage at the collector of the BC182B is rectified by the two 1N4148 diodes and 4.7u capacitor. This dc voltage will directly drive the BC212B transistor and operate the relay and LED.
It should be noted that this circuit does not "latch". The relay and LED operate momentarily in response to audio peaks.
